The build is at the historic Bell Building, 882 Oakman Blvd, Detroit, MI 48238. This facility is now owned by Focus Hope. Focus Hope is a Detroit-based civil and human rights organization whose mission is to fight racism, poverty and injustice through education and job training, economic development initiatives and food programs for mothers, children and seniors. ^top Where should I park? After registration we will meet on the construction floor for a morning devotion. This will be followed by a safety talk and construction instruction. Volunteers will be split into four deck teams and a components team. Each deck team will build one house frame in the morning and the component team will build pre-fabricated house parts and help move materials to ensure site efficiency. After the morning house is built it will be safely taken down and loaded into a container to be shipped down south. Then the teams will set up for the afternoon build. At noon, the build floor will shut down for a one hour on-site lunch break. After lunch the afternoon build will begin, repeating the morning process of building, loading, and setting up for the next shift. ^top What is the daily work schedule?
